What happens when you hand over the microphones, the music, and the studio controls to the young people of Sutton? You get Youth Takeover!

Broadcasting live for two hours from Unity Junction in the St Nicholas Centre, this special show puts local young people firmly in the spotlight. From choosing the playlist and presenting live on air to learning the skills that go into producing a radio programme, Youth Takeover gives the next generation a chance to experience the exciting world of radio broadcasting first-hand.

Expect great music selected by the young presenters themselves, lively discussion, plenty of personality, and a unique insight into the issues, interests, and talents of Sutton's youth. Whether they're stepping behind a microphone for the first time or discovering a passion for media and communication, Youth Takeover is all about building confidence, developing new skills, and having fun along the way.

Join us as Sutton's young people take control of the airwaves and show what they can do in this exciting live broadcast from the heart of the community!

From 3-5pm on the last Friday of every month and available completely free to all young people from 7-18 (up to 25 with SEN).
