service
We support pre-school children with physical disabilities and their parents, helping children develop skills across all areas of their development while supporting parents through the emotional journey of raising a disabled child.
Small Steps is based in the Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and is open to families from anywhere. We support pre-school children with physical disabilities and their parents, helping children develop skills across all areas of their development while supporting parents through the emotional journey of raising a disabled child.
Children attend weekly small-group sessions using the principles of Conductive Education, supported by a parent or carer. Parents are guided to incorporate activities into everyday life at home to help their child reach their full potential.
Small Steps offers a welcoming and supportive environment where parents can connect, share experiences, and feel less alone. The service is free to families and, as a registered charity, relies on grants, donations, and fundraising. If you are unsure whether Small Steps is right for your child, please get in touch — we would be happy to talk things through.
No formal referral is required. To refer a child please complete a referral form online here.
