What are Family Hubs?

Family Hubs bring together the support a family may need, from pregnancy through to young people turning 19 (or 25 if they have SEND).

Best Start Family Hubs aim to make a positive difference to parents, carers and their children by providing a mix of physical and virtual spaces, as well as outreach, where families can access non-judgmental support for the challenges they may be facing.

In Sutton, this means:

Peer support and practical support across the borough, through regular coffee mornings, for anyone to drop-in to.
Outreach to places, groups, and people to provide practical support (like help with forms, debt advice, help to access other services)
Parenting support programmes for anyone to join
Opportunities to volunteer as a parent/carer or young person
Four hub spaces, that you can attend to access a range of support
Problem solving with you at the earliest opportunity, if you are feeling stuck

What's on at the Best Start Family Hub spaces?

Family Hubs offer a wide range of services including Coffee mornings, free uniform shop sessions, Speech and Language Clinics, infant feeding, support groups for specific needs such as a ukrainian support group, SEN support sessions, Young Parents group, sexual health clinics, and more.

Best Start Family Hub Connectors provide free information, advice and help to access childcare, activities and support services in the London Borough of Sutton.
