What is this service?
Assistive Technology
Would you benefit from your phone or computer being more accessible to accommodate your visual impairment?
We have a range of tablets, phones and computers with magnification and speech software that you can try out or we can help you to get your own smartphone, laptop and other tech work for you.
Our Assistive Technology Co-ordinator can help with setting up accessibility features, show you home technology such as Amazon Echo and Google smart speakers and apps you can use for video calls, listening to your library audio book, social media platforms such as Facebook, help getting around and even find your keys!
We can help you in a one to one appointment in our resource hub, at home or through our regular groups and workshops, Tech Talk or Tech Social
If you are interested in any aspect of this service, please contact Vicky Blencowe, our Assistive Technology Coordinator in the first instance. Vicky.blencowe@suttonvision.org.uk, 07971 9521 94 or call the main office on 020 8409 7166.
