What is this service?
MetaSENse is a free, evidence-based online database and toolkit which provides evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to different types of SEND. It is designed to supportlocal authorities, schools, and families in improving educational outcomes for children and young people from 4-25 years old with SEND. These interventions have been selected based on analysis of the findings from 467 intervention studies involving 58,721 SEND students.
The resource is designed to be highly accessible for teachers and parents. You simply select the relevant SEND condition (e.g. ADHD), the age group, and the subject area (e.g. reading) which could get recommended intervention strategies.You can also search for specific targeted interventions to see if they have been evaluated. The recommended, intervention comes with clear scientific explanations and detailed practical guidance.
