What is this activity?
The project, which is open from August 2022 to June 2023, consists of 3 courses and participants are encouraged to vlog their journeys.
1. Introduction to Cybersecurity
This course explores cyber trends, threats, how to stay safe, and how to protect personal and company data.

2. Cybersecurity Essentials
This course covers essential knowledge for all cybersecurity domains including information security, systems security, network security, ethics and laws, and defence and mitigation techniques used in protecting businesses.

3. CyberOps Associate
This course introduces the core security concepts and skills needed to monitor, detect, analyse, and respond to cybercrime, cyberespionage, insider threats, advanced persistent threats, regulatory requirements, and other cybersecurity issues facing organisations.

(As the CyberOps Associate course is not self-paced, participants who join the project after August 2022 may not be eligible for it.)
Career-Ready
At the end of these 3 courses, you should be ready to take an external CyberOps Associate exam. As this is an independent external exam, there will be a fee to the relevant examination body.
If successful, you will be certified by Cisco as a CyberOps Associate, and thereby eligible to apply for some entry level cybersecurity jobs.
Graduation
There will also be a graduation at the end of the project to celebrate all participants.

In-person meetings will be held at Hill House, Bishopsford Road, Carshalton, SM4 6BL.
Look out for a sign that says St. Helier Community Association and banners on the railings.
If you end up on Bolton Drive, turn around back to Bishopsford Road, turn right, and and first right again.
