St Helier Community food shop

This service is available for low-income households. There is a requirement that service users work with our community connector to address underlying issues. Examples of this are debt, maximising benefits, food and fuel poverty, employment, training and health and wellbeing.

What is this service?

The St Helier Community Food Shop will open every Thursday 10am–3pm at Hill House, Bishopsford Road, Carshalton, SM4 6BL.

St Helier residents can join the food shop for a weekly membership fee of £3, which gives access to 12–15 food items a week (worth approximately £15). There will be a mix of fresh and non-perishable food which will vary from week to week.

Members are required to engage with services offering advice and support on education, training, employment and health and wellbeing. The St Helier Food Shop is aimed at residents who live in St Helier, the Wrythe or Wandle Valley.
