What is this service?
This free service, based at Sutton College, is a one stop shop for all employment options, careers / skills advice and information.
Get help looking for jobs, interview techniques, job applications and one to one coaching interviews.
The Step Ahead team can also refer visitors to key Borough services to get support to get employment, education, or training.
The focus of the service is to engage with local residents to identify what support they may require, and ensure the process is easy and removes barriers for visitors.
Step Ahead offers free support to anyone living in a South London Partnership (SLP) borough – Kingston, Croydon, Merton, Sutton and Richmond. Priority is given to Sutton residents although we can refer you to the local employment programme for your borough.
If you are employed, please contact our Advice Team at advice@suttoncollege.ac.uk for guidance.
The centre and its services are a result of a successful bid for the UKSPF (UK Shared Prosperity Fund). The bid is to support and develop work to engage with residents who are unemployed and economically in-active.
