This service gives assessment, advice, information and treatment in respect of children and young people whose behaviour suggests they have psychological, developmental or mental health difficulties affecting their wellbeing.
Targeted services include short term therapy services such as cognitive behavioural therapy, counselling and psychology posts supporting social care teams. Specialist services support children and young people with complex and enduring mental health needs as well as support through specialist teams such as the eating disorder service.
This service is for children and young people up to the age of 18 registered with a Sutton GP, their families and/or carers across the borough. CAMHS Team members include child and adolescent psychiatrists, social workers, clinical psychologists, community psychiatric nurses, child psychotherapists, occupational therapists and other therapists.
Referrals can be made by GP's, other healthcare professionals, schools, and others via the single point of reference.

The framework works as a basis for planning, commissioning and delivering services. Despite differences in delivery and application across the country, it has created a common language for describing and commissioning services.
It is important to remember that neither services nor people fit neatly into a specific tier. For example, many practitioners work in both Tier 2 and Tier 3 services.
There is often a misconception that a child or young person will move up through the tiers as and when their condition is recognised as more complex. In reality, some children and young people require services from a number of the tiers at the same time.
The tiers are not a model to be applied rigidly, but rather as a framework for ensuring commissioning and availability of a wide, comprehensive range of services which can meet all the mental health needs of children and young people in an area, with clear referral routes signposted between tiers.
Sutton Alliance Service is a partnership between South West London and St. George's (SWLStG) Mental Health NHS Trust, Jigsaw4U and Off the Record.
It's aim is to support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, and their families in Sutton.
Formed of experienced local organisation and clinicians, it offers more effectiveness through working together.
Referrals for all Sutton Alliance services (excluding Missing Children) are made via Sutton CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) using the existing referral form.
Referrals should be sent to SuttonCAMHSReferrals@swlstg-tr.nhs.uk . Telephone: 020 3513 3800
