What is this activity?

An exciting new intergenerational project, Unity Circles, taking place at Unity Junction.

Unity Circles will run fortnightly on Friday afternoons from 1pm to 2.30pm and is designed to build social connection and companionship across three groups: adults, young people, and parents with babies.

Through light, fun activities and gentle, non‑intimidating interactions, participants will be supported to connect with one another, learn something new, and build positive relationships that help reduce loneliness.

There is so much potential for mutual benefit:

  • Young people can support older adults with social media or tech.

  • Adults can share life experience and wisdom with young people.

  • Parents who may not get much adult conversation during the day can enjoy meaningful interaction, while older adults or young adults may find joy in engaging with a parent and baby.
