Calibre Audio has an amazing collection of over 17,500 audiobooks which are available to people who have any form of print disability. Every day we send out 1,700 books to our members. Since 1974, Calibre Audio has brought the joy of audiobooks to anyone struggling to access print, so they can immerse themselves in wonderful stories, memorable biographies or travel the world in their mind. There are many benefits to opening up the world of reading to children with SEND through audiobooks including:

Calibre Audio is a national charity which provides free audiobooks to children and young adults (0-25 years) with SEND, making books and stories accessible. To sign up please visit our website or call our Membership services team. No referral or medical evidence is needed, but you will be asked to confirm that you have a qualifying special educational need, long term health condition or disability which impacts on your ability to read print.

Cognus’ Hearing and Vision Education Services (HaVES) supports children and young people up to 25 years old who have a hearing, visual or multi-sensory impairment.

Cognus’ Paving the Way service is made up of a multi-disciplinary team. The team provides support for children and young people with a range of difficulties, including social communication, attention and concentration, and anxiety.
