What is this service?

Our vision is to provide disabled people with the opportunity  to improve their health and wellbeing through the therapeutic power of horses.

Established in 1969, we are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation run and managed entirely by volunteers, operating from a 16 acre site in Epsom, Surrey.

We conduct Sessions seven days a week, including some evening sessions, for our 300 plus participants. Each session has a  team of volunteers to coach, support and encourage their participants. All Sessions are led by an experienced Session Leader and a qualified Coach.

If you are interested in joining us as a participant complete the application form:  https://www.epsomrda.org.uk/register-to-ride/

Please be as accurate as possible in your application as this information is vital in matching a participant to a potential slot. Please be aware we have a very long waiting list for our riding sessions.

Our service fee is  £10 . However if participants are unable to make such a contribution this does not preclude them from joining us.

Note: We have a maximum riding weight limit of 73 kg (11 st 7 lbs). This weight includes the riders’ clothing and riding equipment. Because of the specialist nature of their work each of our ponies is assessed against a range of factors, including but not limited to their age and build, to arrive at a maximum riding weight they can carry.
