The Hello Club is a community group for the over 50s. It is run by volunteers and was founded in 2013. Our aim is to create a warm and friendly atmosphere where people can meet others and have an enjoyable afternoon. We understand it can be hard to try something new but it is worth the effort.

Hello Arts and Crafts is a relaxed and friendly afternoon where you can learn a new art or craft, or share your own skills with others. No experience is necessary. We have members who are total beginners and others who are talented artists. When money allows we invite guest tutors to show members different art forms like making bead necklaces, pottery or watercolour painting.
Some of our own members take their turn at running a workshop to share their skills with members.
We have held five exhibitions and our mural “Landmarks of Sutton” a collaborative work between four of our members, is on display in the Civic Offices.
We meet between 2pm and 4pm every Thursday afternoon. The cost is £2 per visit that also includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
The Hello Club is based in, but independent of, Christ Church, Christchurch Park, Sutton SM2 5TN, located 300 yards on the right-hand side of Christchurch Road which runs off Brighton Road (B2230). The nearest bus stop is Cavendish Road for the S1 (which also runs along Langley Park Road), 80 or 280.
Many residents, as they become older, find it harder to get around so we have a group of local volunteer drivers to bring them to the club in Christ Church Hall where our activities take place. Please get in touch if you have difficulty travelling.
I love the spaciousness. It is an ideal place for art and craft because it is a beautiful building. It is a pleasure to come here.
