What is this service?

A Kintsugi Hope Group is a safe and supportive space for people providing tools for self-management in a facilitated peer mentoring style setting.

Kintsugi is a Japanese art form where golden glue is used to repair broken pottery, which then tells the story of the item, making a feature of its brokenness and creating greater beauty in its uniqueness.  As a Kintsugi Team, we believe that our stories can be told with acceptance and grace helping us to heal wounds and find treasure in life's scars.

This eleven-week course covers topics such as anxiety, depression, anger, guilt and shame, disappointment and loss, perfectionism, resilience, self-acceptance, healthy relationships and forgiveness. It is aimed at people who desire to learn more about the role of emotional wellbeing in their own lives and gain practical tools and techniques to enhance their enjoyment of life. It is not a replacement for therapy or mental health services and is not suitable for anyone currently in a mental health crisis.

What we offer?

  • Weekly 11 week course. Monthly meet ups for Coffee and Conversations.
