Girls Group activities for girls with social communication issues
Page last updated

We run weekly creative activity groups for girls with social communications difficulties such as autism or ADHD. The groups run on a Monday evening at River Church in Carshalton from 4.30pm - 5.30pm for children aged 6 - 11 (primary) and from 5.45 - 6.45pm for young people aged 11 - 16. Each week we try a different activity, these range from art and drama through to animation, photography or even yoga. Each half term is planned in advance with the participants input.
The groups are run in a structured and supportive way, with staff and volunteers with a lot of experience of supporting children and young people with social communication difficulties. The groups are designed to help the girls make friends, build new skills and feel more confident in social settings.
