Watercress Park is a reminder of the Wandle Valley’s agricultural past. Today it is a small area of grassland bordering the River Wandle.

Watercress Park grew naturally in the River Wandle for centuries, it became an important location for the agricultural industry. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries it went into decline, largely because of pollution and a typhoid outbreak in Croydon in the 1930s.

Benhill Recreation Ground is an open grassland to the west along Benhill Road. It provides a large play area for children to enjoy, and picnic tables for lunch. There are inclusive picnic tables available for people with limited mobility.

Carshalton Park is one of Sutton's parks that is rich in historical significance. When you walk through the park you will see The Grotto which dates back to 1724 and the Hog Pit pond which dates back to the mediaeval era!
