Health Visiting Service
Health visitors are registered nurses who have professional experience in child development and family health. They work as part of a team with community nursery nurses to promote good health and to help with the prevention of illness in all age groups in line with the Department of Health 'Healthy Child Programme'.

Development: 1 and 2 year developmental checks
Your health visiting team will contact you with an invite for your child's 1 year and 2 year development review.

Toilet training workshops
The health visiting service in conjunction with the children centres run toilet train sessions. Please call your local Children Centre to book a place.

Eric are a national charity dedicated to improving children’s bowel and bladder health. Their mission is to reduce the impact of continence problems on children and their families.

Infant weaning workshops and infant feeding team
The health visiting team runs monthly weaning sessions at your local children's centres. Contact your local centre to book a place.

Healthy Start Scheme
If you are on benefits and you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk.
If you’re eligible, you’ll be sent a Healthy Start card with money on it that you can use in some UK shops.
