Admiral Nurses take the time to truly listen to each family’s situation and suggest coping strategies.
###Who can access this service?
The London Borough of Sutton.
Admiral Nurse service is available to people who live within the borough who has a diagnosis or highly likely diagnosis of dementia and their families.
You must be experiencing complex needs relating to dementia.
###What are complex care needs?

The person with dementia has other health issues alongside which interact with each other and impact on the family's ability to manage.

The family is having difficulty understanding or coming to terms with the diagnosis and how it affects the person with dementia, including difficulty with recognising their role as a carer and identifying their own needs relating to this role

The family requires support with identifying and managing risk associated with dementia
-
The family would benefit from training in specialist practical skills to help them care for the person with dementia, including information and advice from an Admiral Nurse on managing behaviour that challenges
