The Club has members who come together volunteering and taking action to make a difference in our local communities and around the world through projects which support education, fight disease, promote peace, provide clean water protect the environment and much more.

OUR SCOPE

•We are 1.4 million neighbours, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our local communities and around the world.

•We are part of Rotary International which is over 110 years old and has 36,000 clubs across almost every country

•“We’re for Communities” -  everything we do as Rotarians is aimed at supporting and benefiting our local community or communities in need elsewhere in the world.

OUR DIVERSITY

At Rotary, we understand  and value diversity and celebrate the contributions of people of all backgrounds, across age, ethnicity, race, colour, disability, learning style, religion, faith, socio-economic status, culture, marital status, languages spoken, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity as well as differences in ideas, thoughts, values, and beliefs.

OUR REPUTATION

•At Cheam & Sutton we are probably best known for our Santa’s Sleigh which is a highlight of Christmas for many in our community.

•We help many local charities, including Home Start, Sutton Women’s Centre, Sutton Mental Health Foundation, Macular Society,  MERU, Royal Marsden Cancer charities, Sutton Young Carers and many others.

•We are working with local groups such as Sutton Council, Sutton Lodge, St Dunstan’s, Yourspace Sutton, EcoLocal, Green Sutton Network, Scouts & Guides Groups etc

•Choose our events and which charities we will support during the year.

•Receive a Rotary pin badge, monthly copies of our Rotary magazine and access to on-line resources such as the Learning Centre - take online courses about the Rotary organisation, leadership and professional development topics.

•Access to fun Inter-Club sports competitions, quizzes and socials events.

•Wide range of experiences and connections – hear about where our Club member donations are making an impact around the world, attend a district, national or international Rotary meeting or a Rotary convention, join in partnership activities with members of a club in another country.

As well as our projects we have various social events, meals and outings.
