Cognus Therapies comprises of qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Senior Therapy Assistants. We are a large and diverse team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The therapies team works with education settings in Sutton and neighbouring local authorities to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs and occupational therapy needs, working in close partnership with teachers, learning support assistants, parents and carers.
We also work with and alongside other services within Cognus Limited and agencies working with the child and young person to ensure shared understanding of the child and young person’s needs.
Our service focuses on functional outcomes for children and young people, embedding therapy within education settings and offering provision at universal, targeted and specialist levels as part of a Graduated Response you can find a wealth of resources to develop the functional needs of your child/young person. Educational Psychology is the practice of applying psychological theories and ideas to the difficulties that can arise for pupils, teachers, families and schools. EPs will use consultation to help deliver their services. This involves bringing psychology to discussions with adults and young people.

Cognus’ Hearing and Vision Education Services (HaVES) supports children and young people up to 25 years old who have a hearing, visual or multi-sensory impairment.
