What is this service?

Sutton Mencap provides a range of high-quality play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with a learning disability aged 6 and over.

Our group-based services take place after school, on Saturday and during school holidays. We provide a wider range of stimulating and fun in-house activities, including art, messy play, music and dancing, cooking, games, stories and relaxation and sensory experiences. We also make as much use of local community venues as we can, including parks, leisure centres and local shopping trips.

We have a highly skilled and experienced staff team and are able to support children with a wide range of needs, including those with complex health needs and behaviour that can be challenging.

Access to services is generally via referral from the London Borough of Sutton Disabled Children's Service. Demand for the services is very high and we usually have a waiting list.
