Sutton Volunteer Group refurbish old and second hand tools and sewing machines so that they can be sent out via Tools for Self Reliance (a charity), to self help groups in Central Africa

As a group we are all ways looking for additional volunteers with basic DIY, or previous practical skills such as Engineering, Carpentry etc. to help with our refurbishing of old tools and sewing machines that are donated to us
Old Woodworking, Engineering, Plumbing, Blacksmiths, Bicycle, Leatherworking, Auto-Mechanics and good quality Power Tools (240 volt) but not gardening tools. Old Singer sewing machines (round bobbin), hand treadle of electrified. Electric sewing machines, any make, but must have zigzag facility. Also all Haberdashery, (needles, pins, cottons, zips etc.)
Come to our workshop @ Honeywood Walk, Carshalton SM5 3NX (on Google maps). Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm. At the end of Honeywood Walk turn right through wooden gates, go past The Lodge and follow the drive round to the TFSR Workshop (last door on the left)
