There are various schemes that can support you with travel, such as blue badge parking permits, Dial-a-Ride, Freedom Pass, and taxicard schemes.

Transport if you're disabled advice on the Gov.UK website [External Link].

TfL Travel mentoring is a free travel mentoring service that helps people to use public transport. TfL can offer advice on planning a journey using an accessible route. They can provide a mentor to go out with you to practice a journey a few times to help you gain confidence and provide the knowledge to become an independent traveller across the TfL network. You must be over the age of 16 and the service covers support for those experiencing both physical and mental health barriers to travelling independently. The DfT have been working to develop a Passenger Assist App to simplify communication with rail staff and encourage better customer service. Learn more about the Passenger Assist App [External Link].

London Tube

Transport for London has a wide range of accessibility guides including a tube station map showing the locations of all the accessible toilets and different versions of the tube map which show the number of steps or time it takes to walk between tube locations. Transport for All

Transport for all is a website that provides information on accessible public transport in London, intended to make travelling around London easier. Visit Transport for All's website [External Link].

TFL 11-15 and 16+ Zip Oyster photocard

Children aged 11-15 and 16-17 can get free and discounted travel on all our transport services with a Zip Oyster photocard. Visit the 11-15 Zip oyster website [External Link].

If you're 18 or over, live in a London borough and in your first year of an apprenticeship, you can get discounted travel with an Oyster photocard. Visit the Apprentice Oyster photocard website [External Link].

Disabled Persons Freedom Pass

Disabled Person's Railcard

Blue Badge

Bus and Tram Discount Card

Dial-a-Ride

Motability

Taxicard Scheme
