All Sutton Schools have an allocated Education Welfare Officer within the Cognus Attendance Support Team, who are linked with wider services in order to ensure a full understanding of the support needs of children and families.
Sometimes schools require specialist help, we offer bespoke attendance support which may involve working with families, this often means close working with other agencies to help improve the attendance of their pupils.

Cognus’ Paving the Way service is made up of a multi-disciplinary team. The team provides support for children and young people with a range of difficulties, including social communication, attention and concentration, and anxiety.

The Vulnerable Pupils Panel (VPP), is a multi-agency partnership panel that meets monthly to discuss new requests for support and where appropriate agree and allocate support according to a broad criterion.
