I promote yoga in schools or pre-school. Yoga helps pupils to become more resilient, reduce stress and stay calm and relaxed (eg in tests or exams). Improved concentration and focus help to enhance pupils' academic performance as well as support their wellbeing. Yoga promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness and is an ideal activity to encourage participation in physical activities by pupils, including those who are less confident about team sports or reluctant to take part in more traditional PE classes.
