The London Learning Consortium have developed an Early Careers pathway program called “Get Ahead South London” with support from the UKSPF, which aims to empower young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET).
Our Youth Engagement Early Careers Coaches, will guide and support participants through a transformative 12-week program, helping them discover and achieve their full potential. Our Early Careers Coaches will be a game-changer for young adults looking to launch their careers. They will work one-onone with participants, helping them navigate challenges/barriers and unlock their full potential.
Here’s how we will make a difference:
Empower our participants: LLC will provide vital support to overcome barriers to employment, training, work experience, and further education.
Unlock potential: Through motivation and skills development, LLC will equip participants with the confidence to pursue secure training, keyworker services, employment, or educational opportunities.
Build strong connections: By encouraging, motivating, and challenging our participants, LLC will establish trusting relationships and celebrate their successes.
Achieve results: While supporting our participants, the team at LLC will fulfil their job-specific goals, ensuring program effectiveness.
We aim to do this by:
Building rapport and trust with a diverse group of young people, understanding their unique challenges and aspirations.
Develop individualized action plans with participants, focusing on their strengths and interests.
Facilitate group activities and workshops to foster personal development, skills building, and confidence.
Connect participants to relevant resources and opportunities in education, employment, and training.
Provide ongoing encouragement, motivation, and accountability throughout the program.
Track participant progress and report outcomes to program stakeholders.
