Abuse

NSPCC - Support for children and families who have been through abuse. They also work to help prevent abuse happening. Childline is a service run by the NSPCC that provides support to any child who may be struggling. To find out more, visit the NSPCC website [External Link].

ADHD

Counselling Directory - The page provides a wealth of information about ADHD, practical advice, and access to qualified and insured counsellors who are members of professional bodies. With a network of over 27,000 professionals, there’s always a local counsellor available to support those in need. The directory also highlights organisations offering free or low-cost counselling options, ensuring support is accessible to everyone. Bereavement

The Childhood Bereavement Network - A hub for those supporting bereaved children and young people. For more information, visit the Childhood Bereavement Network website [External Link].

Bowel and Bladder

ERIC - Support for children and their families with bowel and bladder conditions. For more information, visit the ERIC website [External Link].

Children's Continence Service - A service for 5-18 year olds who have bowel and bladder difficulties. The young person must be registered with a Sutton GP to use the service. Brain Conditions

Brain Injury

Challenging Behaviour

Children Looked After

Help at Hand - Support and information for young people in care or with a social worker. They also have a helpline you can ring for free and impartial advice on anything that is worrying you. To find out more, visit the Help at Hand website [External Link].

Contact Listening Ear

Contact Listening Ear - A service for parents and carers looking for strategies to help them cope. They provide support for those who need to talk to someone who understand the challenges they are going through. For more information, visit the Contact Listening Ear website [External link].

Deafness

The RNID - Support and advice for deaf people, those with hearing loss and tinnitus. They aim to make life fully inclusive for those with a hearing impairment. For more information, visit the RNID website [External Link].

Down Syndrome

The Down Syndrome Association - Support and information for people with Down syndrome and their families. They promote their right to be included with and equal to others. Dyslexia

Early years Workshops

Eating Disorders

Epilepsy

Epilepsy Action - Advice and support for people with epilepsy and their families. They offer a range of services, including information to help children understand their diagnosis. For more information visit the Epilepsy Action website [External Link].

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

Fragile X

The Fragile X Society - Information and support for those affected by Fragile X Syndrome. They also support the professionals who work with them. Internet Safety

Learning Disabilities

Mencap - Information and support for people with a learning disability and their families. They have a helpline that is open Monday-Friday. Life Limiting Illness

React - Support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families. They aim to improve the quality of life for children and promote greater independence where able. Mental Health

Samaritans - Support for those going through a mental health crisis or are struggling to cope. Their hotline is open 24/7 and can be contacted anonymously. Muscular Dystrophy

Neurological Conditions

The Brain Charity - Support and practical help for those with a neurological condition and their families. They also run a range of social activities, including specific activities for young people. For more information, visit the Brain Charity website [External Link].

Speech and Language

AFASIC - Support and information for families with children who have Speech and Language needs. They also have a specific focus on Developmental Language Disorder. Spina Bifida

Tuberous Sclerosis
