There are various types of childcare available to suit your family's needs.
Types of Childcare
All families will have different requirements when it comes to finding childcare. For information about the different types of childcare, including registered and non-registered childcare, please visit our Childcare pages.
Early Education and Childcare Funding
Eligible children, from the term after they turn 9 months till the term before they start school, can access up to 15 or 30 hours childcare funding during term time. For more information on the different entitlements please visit the entitlement pages below:

15 hours for 9 month to 2 years (for families who are in work)

15 hours for 2 year olds (for families who receive additional support)
Tax Free Childcare Scheme
Eligible working families can access the Tax Free Childcare Scheme, to support paying for childcare for children up to 11 years old (or 17 if they have an additional need). For more information on the scheme and what the eligibility criteria is please visit the Tax Free Childcare Scheme page.
