High-quality early years education and childcare from a young age can help boost your child's development and help them be ready for school.
Early years education is about learning through play. Children will learn through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which promotes children's development, well being and interest in learning.
The Free Early Education and Childcare Entitlements can give you more time to take up a college course or return to work, as well as give your child the opportunity to learn, play with friends, experience new activities and get ready for school.
There is also support and funding for working parents and carers and parents and carers in education and training.

There are three types of free early education and childcare entitlements available for children aged 2 to 4 years, each with different eligibility criteria.
Early education and childcare providers can also access additional Early Years Pupil Premium funding for children and families that meet specific eligibility criteria.
