Park run in Nonsuch park with local community

Sutton Council and the LTA have recently announced a partnership to invest in and refurbish public park tennis courts across the district. In total, twenty-four tennis courts in seven parks will be renovated, with investment of over £550,000 ensuring that quality facilities are available for the local community. The park venues being renovated are:
Sutton Common Recreation Ground
These courts are available to book via the LTA website.
There is a fee of £6 for an hour of use or alternatively a household annual season ticket costs £50.
Work on these sites is anticipated to start in July 2023 and be completed by October 2023.
There will still be a number of courts where tennis will remain free, available on a first come basis. Park venues with free to use courts are:

Belmont Park is a lovely local park near the Royal Marsden Hospital. It provides a place to relax on a summer's day, you can enjoy a game of table tennis or have a picnic on one of the picnic tables.

Benhill Recreation Ground is an open grassland to the west along Benhill Road. It provides a large play area for children to enjoy, and picnic tables for lunch. There are inclusive picnic tables available for people with limited mobility.
